Petrobras (PETR4) pays dividends today, BB (BBAS3) appoints executives and more banks ask for withholding of funds from Americanas (AMER3)

The corporate radar this Thursday (19) highlights the payment of dividends today by Petrobras (PETR3;PETR4) in the amount of R$ 21.9 billion.

Banco do Brasil (BBAS3), in turn, has appointed executives to fill the vacant posts in the Vice Presidency for Retail Activities, Internal Controls and Risk Management, and Digital Enterprises and Technology.

Petrobras (PETR3;PETR4) will today pay the shareholders the second installment of dividends in the amount of R$ 21.9 billion. The shareholders of the shareholding as of 21 November 2022 will be entitled to the payment.

Regarding dividends, the gross amount per ordinary and preferred share is R$ 1.600192 and the updated Selic rate is R$ 0.011415, which translates into a total amount of R$ 1.611607 per action. In relation to interest on equity capital (JCP), the gross amount per ordinary and preferred share is R$ 0.074258, which added to the updated Selic rate of R$ 0.000529, amounts to R$ 0.074787 for action.

A day earlier, the oil companies announced the adoption of new judicial and administrative measures aimed at suspending the payment of Petrobras dividends, the Unified Federation of Petroleum Workers (FUP) said on Wednesday.

“Strengthen the request for an injunction of the action that is pending in the Federal Court of Rio de Janeiro, so that a payment freeze measure is urgently granted,” said Attorney Angelo Remédio, of the Advocacia Garcez, representing the FUP and Anapetro in the process.

The union wants to suspend dividend payments, arguing that “a large part of the company’s profits came from the sale of assets” and the “dollarisation” of fuel prices, and that the new government should decide on the matter.

Bank of Brazil (BBAS3)

Banco do Brasil (BBAS3), informs that Carla Nesi has been appointed to cover the position of Vice-President of Retail Business, Felipe Guimarães Geissler Prince has been nominated to cover the position of Vice-President of Internal Controls and Risk Management and Marisa Reghini Ferreira Mattos was nominated to the position of Vice President of Digital Business and Technology.

American (AMER3)

Americanas (AMER3) reported Wednesday evening (18) that Bradesco (BBDC4) withheld more than R$450 million from the company’s liquidity, which, according to the retailer, violates the protection the company has obtained from justice against blocking of assets. Previously, BTG Pactual was awarded the right to block BRL 1.2 billion from Americanas in the bank’s custody.

According to a report by Valor, this Wednesday Itaú Unibanco and Safra asked the court that the Americans can withdraw money deposited in accounts with these banks only with the authorization of the court.

Significant share change

Nuveen LLC said some funds and accounts managed by subsidiaries of its investment adviser have combined holdings of 1,271,824 shares of Americanas common stock, which is less than 5 percent of the company’s total common stock.

Neo Energy (NEOE3)

Neoenergia (NEOE3) reported that the company’s total energy input in the fourth quarter reached 19,350 GWh, down 1.83% from the same period in 2021.

MRV Engenharia (MRVE3) announced preliminary, unaudited operating data for Q4 2022 (4Q22).

Total sales amounted to a general sales value (PSV) of R$ 2.062 billion in 4Q22, an increase of 40.8% over 3Q22 and a decrease of 14.2% year-on-year.

Launches totaled 3.480 billion reais between October and December last year, an increase of 92.8% compared to the immediately previous quarter and 7.3% compared to what was recorded in the same phase of 2021.

Helbor’s total gross sales (HBOR3) for the quarter reached R$268 million, an increase of 4% over the same period a year earlier. In the cumulative result of the year, total gross sales reached 1.437 billion reais, a decrease of 2% compared to 2021.

Net sales from cancellations, in turn, totaled R$ 232 million in the quarter.

The sales velocity measured by the Total VSO indicator in 4Q22 was 7.6%, 1.2 percentage points lower than the VSO presented in the same period of the previous year. In 2022, the total VSO was 32.3%, a reduction of 4.9 percentage points compared to 2021.

RNI Real Estate Business (RDNI3)

RNI Negócios Imobiliários (RDNI3) reported that net sales reached R$158.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2022 (4Q22), down 20% QoQ and 2% year-on-year.

The company’s launches totaled R$301.5 million in 4Q22, an increase of 191% over 3Q22 and 7% over 4Q21.

Southern Cross (CSED3)

The Board of Directors resolved the cancellation of n. 7,775,520 ordinary shares issued by the company, held in portfolio, this Wednesday (18), with no reduction in the value of the share capital.

As a result of the cancellation of treasury shares, the share capital is now divided into no. 374,046,720 ordinary shares.

Furthermore, the Board of Directors approved the continuation of the buyback programme.

Alupar (ALUP11) communicated that the Federal Court of Auditors (TCU) has decided to withdraw lot 6 from the transmission auction called by the National Electricity Agency (Aneel), held on 16 December last year and that had been sold by the company. The company said it will wait for Aneel to show and take all appropriate measures.

Viver (VIVR3) has approved the share capital of the company, within the authorized share capital limit, for private subscription. The increase will be between a minimum of R$ 99,000.00 and a maximum of R$ 2,301,493,392.00, through the issue of a minimum of 5,000 ordinary shares and a maximum of 116,237,040 ordinary shares, all registered and with no par value, at the issue price of R$ 19.80.

Banco ABC Brazil (ABCB4)

Banco ABC Brasil (ABCB4) informs that it has received a communication from Compass Group LLC which informs that the investment funds managed by it hold preference shares issued by the company and that as of 17 January the same holds no. 5,979,054 preference shares, equal to 5.31% of the total preference shares issued by the company.
