Jaylen Brown leads as the Celtics defeat the rival Lakers in overtime

NBA rivalry week concluded with a game that had a little bit of everything. Stars who play well, stars who play badly, overtime and, finally, a very controversial arbitration. THE Los Angeles Lakers suffered a painful loss to the Boston Celtics in Massachusetts in overtime. The team led into the final stretch of regulation time, but let slip another win in the final stretch.

First, despite leading by three points, the Angelinos gave up an offensive rebound Jaylen Brown. The wing converted the basket and was fouled by Patrick Beverley, who was on his way to becoming the hero of the evening. Then, on the last possession of regulation time, LeBron James conceded a clean field goal on a layup attempt. However, the referee did not see the contact on the playmaker’s arm.

But of course match day wasn’t just that. The clash between the best centers in the league had a great performance by Joel Embiid for the Nuggets victory over Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets. Star Kyrie Irving had another strong performance late on and the Nets won the New York Classic. And Kawhi Leonard’s Clippers won their fifth straight game.
